REANIMAL is a cooperative horror adventure developed by Tarsier Studios. For this Unreal Engine project, I analyzed an existing section of the game and identified opportunities to improve its cooperative gameplay, pacing and player interaction

I first performed a level design analysis of the original section, identifying its strengths as well as areas for improvement. While the level provided strong visual composition, intuitive navigation and clear landmarks, I found that the cooperative potential was not always fully exploited.

Based on this analysis, I redesigned part of the original route, introducing new cooperative puzzles, environmental challenges and interactions that require both players to actively communicate and coordinate their actions.

Particular attention was given to pacing, camera composition and environmental readability. Camera positions, field of view and lighting were adjusted to guide player attention, communicate progression and reinforce the tension and vulnerability of the original experience.
